FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
On Behalf of our Client we are in need of a Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of our operations. particularly in the area of payments and reconciliations for field staff and general operational accounting. You will be responsible for a range of activities including revenue assurance, fraud detection, and business cost analysis.
Location: Dar es salaam
Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance from a reputable university
Education: Proven experience in managing payments and reconciliations, especially in an operational accounting context.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage the organization’s payment processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Implement and maintain a robust reconciliation system for field staff expenses and revenues.
- Collaborate with the Accountant to reconcile financial data and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Lead internal audits to identify and rectify financial discrepancies and improve financial controls.
- Develop and maintain financial reports to monitor and evaluate financial performance.
- Contribute to revenue assurance by analyzing financial data and preventing revenue leakage.
- Work on monitoring and evaluation projects to assess the effectiveness of financial processes.
- Serve as a key liaison with external auditors during financial audits.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the organization’s financial assets.
- Uphold and promote the core values of trust, honesty, and integrity in all financial operations.
- Conduct business cost analysis to optimize financial performance and cost control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance from a reputable university (Master’s preferred).
- Proven experience in managing payments and reconciliations, especially in an operational accounting context.
- Strong background in monitoring and evaluation, internal auditing, and revenue assurance.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Trustworthy, honest, and upholds a high standard of integrity.
